12 Grain Bread (Grain Nutritional Facts)


This recipe was given to me by my brother when I started doing baking classes. I altered the recipe and added few more grains. My family loves this recipe and I hope you do to.

Health Information about Whole Grains:

A diet high in fiber such as whole grains can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, reduce constipation, and help with weight management.

These are the 12 grains used in this bread and their benefits:



















This is 9 Grain Cereal which contains the grains listed:

Red Wheat and White Wheat: Protein, Fiber, Magnesium, Riboflavin, Zinc, Iron, and Niacin. Nutritional facts:

We added an extra 1/3 cup of Millet to this recipe.



















We added more Flax Seed because of the fiber content.

  2. Dear Grain Lady, The above grains fact well, true to some extent but biounavailable because your grains are refined and your baking with many to many unhealthy ingredients. And saturated fats are actually good for you and it has been proven over and over again. I use them in my practice everyday and people are getting well and maintain. We also teach people how to properly prepare grains and how to avoid hybrid grains etc. This recipes are making people sick, and malnutrition. If your going to post recipes that is one thing but to scoop nutritional facts off the net and link them to your site without doing the research is just wrong. Also these so called facts are marketing based science. I have study the biochemistry of people and food inside out and how the two work together and it would be wonderful where your so enthusiastic to share and passionate about food to learn how to cook them correctly and teach others.
